Along the beautiful shores of Vashon Island just west of Seattle, we interviewed Carla V. Pryne, Episcopal Priest and Co-Founder of Earth Ministry Reverend Pryne spoke to us of her journey to link spirituality and the Gospel to Nature, and how that ministry can move religious individuals to link their love for the creation, and action to protect our environment and build resiliency into our critically important natural habitats.
Pryne describes the influence of her father on building her awareness of nature and the Nestucca oil barge spill off the coast of Seattle—where thousands of birds died—as epiphanies driving her long career of environmental advocacy. Today, retired from the ministry, Carla continues to speak out about nature and God while spending more time with family, her horses, and a newfound love of raising bees.
