The Film

A documentary film about reaching everyone in the cause of environmental protection.
Even the skeptics.

The Film

Calming the Waters is a feature length documentary in production about Jim and his ideas for protecting the environment. The film follows Jim's book, A Texas Plan for the Texas Coast, as a blueprint for presentation of his remarkable and pragmatic ideas to convince Texans, not often known for being "green," to become champions for the natural world. Equally important is the potential for the tools he advocates to have an impact outside the Lone Star State. He frequently observes, "If it can work in Texas, it can work anywhere."

Our Audience

Jim's approach to the environment is a breath of fresh air—a rare meeting of polarized minds. This documentary will bring something of interest to policy wonks, environmentalists, urban planners, farmers, ranchers, industrialists, and politicians. We will accompany Jim on a voyage through the Texas tidelands, some of the most unique and beautiful habitats in the country.
